Scattered showers, thunderstorms and temperatures below average in northwestern Europe

A low pressure system across northwestern Europe will continue bringing over the next few days unstable weather conditions across northwestern and central Europe. The weather system will bring autumn spells and it will not remind us of the usual warmer May as a temperature drop will follow due to the appearance of cold air masses.

Rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms: the low pressure system as it will continue rotating from central Europe towards the UK will continue spreading scattered showers and thunderstorms especially in the British Isles, France, the Low countries, Germany, Denmark, the Alps, Poland and Czechia. The phenomena will be strong locally during the next 24-48  hours in the British Isles especially, England and Scotland, the Low Countries and Poland.

Temperature drop in northwestern Europe: the northern wind and the upcoming cold air masses as well as the showers and thunderstorms will bring a temperature drop in northwestern Europe with temperatures 2-3°C below average in western France, northwestern Spain, the UK and the Low Countries.

The gradual reinforcement of the high pressure over the western Mediterranean Sea will bring a weather improvement and a temperature rise on Saturday in the Iberia and from Sunday in the western Europe.
